A bus from the state-owned company Transmetro overturned this Friday on the Vía Blanca in Havana.
The internet user Raudel Trimiño, a member of the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!", revealed that the incident occurred at the beginning of the Alamar ascent.
"Right next to the pole they put up new and that broke due to another accident right in the same spot, two weeks ago," he specified.
Photos and a video shared by another witness show that the bus completely went off the road and ended up overturned on its side in the grass.
Sidney Banzo, who identified himself as the driver's nephew, stated that he is in good health and only suffered minor injuries.
According to the clarification, the driver was not going at high speed, but the pavement was wet and the car skidded and went off the road.
Other members of the group agreed that accidents are common in that area.
"Gentlemen, there is something about that stretch that every time it rains, someone ends up in the ditch!" commented an audio technician.
In mid-July, another accident occurred on the Vía Blanca, where a 1970 Fiat OM 306 Gran Luce bus collided with a Lada.
According to witnesses, it was the bus that crossed into the opposite lane and ended up colliding with the Lada.
The incident occurred at the traffic light at Calzada de Güines turning onto Vía Blanca, and none of the occupants of the colliding vehicles suffered serious injuries.
