The Cuban comedian Ulises Toirac lashed out at the country's high-ranking leaders who have plunged the people into the worst crisis of recent decades.
In a post shared on his Facebook wall, Ulises humorously remarked that the current situation is "thanks to the experience and the sustained, hard work of the comrades who run our economy, who do not spare wisdom and sacrifices."
"Everything continues to move as Murillo promised, all chubby with his millionaire watch: no inflation; maintaining faith in the socialism that Gil demanded of us while withdrawing his money (our) from the country," he emphasized.
The actor also addressed other pressing issues such as inflation, blackouts, high prices, and food shortages.
"Moving forward... With energy deficits exceeding 1000 MW daily, and just to give an example, the increase of 200 CUP (which was already outrageous) for the H. Upmann unfiltered to 300 CUP in less than a week... A growing subsidized stock in the warehouse (in quantity, variety, and quality - I love Vietnamese rice and eating without sugar, which is harmful to health)," he expressed.
"Look, I'm bristling!" added Ulises, who dubbed 2024 the "Year of Painful Progress."
