They exhibited symptoms of dizziness, difficulty breathing, and skin redness, and some arrived unconscious at the facility.

This Saturday, there were still eight students at the healthcare institution, although it was emphasized from the beginning that they were all stable, under observation, and showing favorable progress, with no danger to their lives.

The incident occurred on Friday around 9:00 am on the second floor of the school, where several tenth-grade pre-students began to feel ill after inhaling an unknown gas. In response to the emergency, the school was evacuated.

The authorities have not yet revealed the cause of the accident or what type of substance caused the intoxication of the young people.

The testimonies indicate that the odor may have been caused by a substance similar to acrylic, which spread rapidly throughout the building and left several kids unconscious.

According to a witness of the events reported to CiberCuba, the same young people and teachers had to evacuate and stop a bus and machines to urgently transport those who inhaled the chemical and were fainting.
