"It can't be, my nephew, who took away the most beautiful thing in life, your lovely life; a good son, a good brother, a good friend, with the greatest humility; who snatched your beautiful life away, what a pain for that lovely mother who has raised and loved you with so much sacrifice. May God have mercy on that mother," wrote Clara Rivero in an emotional message for her nephew.
"Life is unfair, yesterday we were laughing and today I have this shocking news, I still feel like I'm dreaming. Buddy, you have left many people who care about you in shock, unable to believe your departure," expressed his friend Leandro Leira in a Facebook post.
Yordys Piedra, a childhood friend of JJ, expressed heartfelt words: “Man, brother, I feel so sad, it's so sad to see you like this, what a sorrow. I can't stop crying, little brother […] I can't believe your end came like this, I can't accept it […]. We've lost a good kid, a good brother, a good friend… To all my brothers from upbringing, take care, such news leaves the world in sadness. […] JJ, watch over the family from heaven, bro. Today the earth is sad because a good human being has left us, and heaven rejoices because it welcomed an angel, a great brother.”
Alongside the pain, many have expressed their outrage at the crime and are demanding the immediate arrest of those involved in the unfortunate incident.
