A trailer with a container became stuck under an overpass at the Contramaestre exit, Santiago de Cuba, in an incident that recalls other similar accidents on the island.
The incident was reported in the Facebook group “Bus & Truck Accidents,” where users noted that it was a "calculation error" while attempting to pass through the metal structure of the bridge with a tall container.

In the images shared on social media, the truck from the company Transcontenedores is seen dangerously tilted after colliding with the bridge. Some internet users suggested that it could be a "high cube" container, which exceeds the height allowed for such roads.
This is not an isolated case. In recent months, several similar accidents have occurred in different parts of the country due to a lack of proper signage, or repairs on the road that change the clearance height without updating the indicators.
Group users suggested possible solutions, such as deflating the tires to reduce the truck's height and facilitate its removal. However, some commented that the underlying issue lies in the lack of visible warnings about the bridge's height.
Others recalled that incidents like this have occurred recently in Jatibonico, the Vía Blanca and Havana, leaving trucks stuck for hours and even days, causing delays and disruptions to traffic.
"Every week it's the same, and they don't learn," commented an outraged user, suggesting that preventive measures should be strengthened to avoid new accidents of this kind.
The truck partially blocked the road, forcing drivers to seek alternative routes while efforts were made to remove it.
