Lada overturns after colliding with a truck in Havana

The accident occurred in front of the Ramón Fonst multipurpose sports hall and the National Bus Terminal. Despite the dramatic nature of the images, no injuries were reported.

A Russian-made car from the brand Lada ended up overturned on its side after colliding with a small cargo truck on Friday night in Havana.

Despite the dramatic nature of the images, the author of the post stated that none of the occupants of the vehicles were injured. After the impact, the Lada ended up with its roof embedded in a tree on the sidewalk.

"I asked, and everyone was fine, just material damage. It happened in the Ramón Fonst multipurpose hall, in front of the National Bus Terminal," said the social media user.

Accidents involving trucks and cars in Cuba often result in injuries and significant material damage, such as the incident that occurred at the end of January when a taxi ended up overturned on the sidewalk after being struck by a small truck dedicated to passenger transport in Camagüey.

At the beginning of January, in the capital, a Moskvich ended up on the elevated median of Boyeros Avenue after being struck by a truck traveling on the fast lane.

The accident occurred in the morning in the municipality of Boyeros, in front of the Capdevila Polyclinic, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

With less than a week left until the start of 2025, a dramatic accident occurred at the entrance of Granma province, when a trailer and a jeep collided at night, resulting in one of the drivers sustaining minor injuries, according to preliminary reports.
