A taxi overturned in a traffic accident that occurred this Saturday in the Cristo neighborhood of the city of Camagüey.
According to Ahmed Puig Lamela, a witness to the event, the car was struck by a truck.
The photos shared on his Facebook wall show how both vehicles looked after the collision.
"Just before dawn today, at the intersection of Bembeta and 20 de Mayo streets, next to the Parque del Cristo, an American-made truck that was traveling on Bembeta street ran a stop sign and collided with a taxi that was coming along 20 de Mayo street," he reported.
According to Puig Lamela, fortunately, there were no human casualties, but considerable material damage did occur.
A neighbor in the area stated that there are always issues with that STOP sign in that location.
"Not long ago, I saw two scooters collide in front of me. People need to be more careful. Although respect for traffic has really diminished everywhere," he said.
Another resident stated that there has never been high-speed traffic on those streets of the historic center, as they are very narrow.
"It is almost certain that the overturning was due to drunkenness/drugs, along with the ineptitude and irresponsibility, traits that infect the ROBOlution of that generation created by them..." he commented.
