A series of meticulously repeated robberies

The arrest report -cited by the local press- details that the events began on November 15, 2024, when Peñalver allegedly entered the establishment, concealed merchandise valued at approximately 200 dollars, and fled without paying.

However, this was not an isolated event: the police indicate that theft with similar characteristics occurred at least five additional times within a short period.

The specific dates on which the additional thefts allegedly occurred are November 20, 23, 26, and 30, as well as December 4.

In each of these incidents, it is estimated that the value of the stolen items was also around 200 dollars, which demonstrates a consistent and deliberate strategy on the part of the suspect.

The double theft of December 5th

One of the most notable episodes occurred on December 5, when Peñalver allegedly committed two robberies in the same store on the same day.

According to the police report, during his first entry that day, he allegedly stole merchandise worth 92 dollars.

Then, approximately 45 minutes later, he returned to the establishment and allegedly stole additional items worth 115 dollars.

This pattern not only reinforces the suspicion that it was a premeditated activity, but also demonstrates a defiant attitude towards the establishment's security measures.

A broader criminal record

In addition to the new charges of shoplifting, records indicate that Peñalver was already in custody in connection with other offenses, specifically two charges of vehicle theft.

It was while he was in jail that he received the additional charges arising from the incidents at Marshalls.

Authorities have classified Peñalver as a "suspected serial thief" due to the frequency and similarity of the thefts.

As of the closure of this report, the Cuban remains under arrest and is also being held by Immigration, according to his police record.
