Meteorologist Raydel Ruisánchez issued an alert this Saturday regarding adverse weather conditions in several provinces of Cuba.
"Weather alert: Currently, scattered showers, rain, and thunderstorms, some intense, are being reported in the interior areas of Artemisa, south of Havana, and Mayabeque," reported Ruisánchez through his Facebook account.

The specialist also confirmed hail in the municipality of Guanajay, in the province of Artemisa.
Ruisánchez recommended taking extra precautions due to the possibility of severe phenomena such as strong winds, hail, or flash floods, as well as avoiding open areas due to the risk of lightning strikes.
He also requested to stay alert for upcoming updates on the weather developments in the western part of the country.
The meteorologist Ariel Maturell Salina also warned on Facebook that during the afternoon "storms are increasing in the south of Camagüey, north of Granma and Santiago de Cuba, as well as in the interior of Artemisa, Mayabeque, and the south of Havana."
"Remember to be protected against electric shocks," he emphasized.
