A street race between two cars ended in an unusual and concerning way when the Volusia County police in Florida discovered that one of the drivers involved was just a 12-year-old boy.
The unusual incident occurred last Tuesday, April 29, around 6:45 p.m., on a two-lane road in the town of DeLand, northeast of Orlando.

The same video also shows the officer explaining the situation to the visibly exasperated mother of the child. The woman suggested that the minor deserved a slap, to which the officer replied: “I can't slap them. It's your child. Corporal punishment is completely legal.”
