A family from Camajuaní, Villa Clara, is urgently seeking community assistance to locate a stolen engine from the early morning of June 4, an incident that has left them feeling helpless and outraged at the lack of effective response from local authorities.
According to the testimony sent to CiberCuba, the theft occurred around 2:00 a.m., while the vehicle was locked and secured in the entrance of the house, with the owners inside.
After the incident, the police were called, which—according to reports—arrived two hours later. Although a complaint was filed, it has not yet been circulated nor has any effective response been obtained.
There are cameras and recordings… but no police action
Those affected claim to have photos and recordings from security cameras, obtained through their own means. However, as of now, no official action has been taken to locate the vehicle, nor has a formal search been initiated.
Desperate, they have decided to go public with their complaint and are offering a reward of 1,000 USD for anyone who provides concrete information about the whereabouts of the engine or contributes to its recovery.
Individuals who have information can contact the following numbers: 54859381 and 53290578.
"It is the sacrifice of years... it's not just an engine, for him it is everything," states the whistleblower, who is seeking help through this medium as a last resort to ensure that the case does not go unpunished.
