Russia officially announced this week the relaunch of Intervision, its own international music festival inspired by Eurovision, and Cuba and the United States will be among the 20 participating countries in the 2025 edition, which will begin on September 20 in Moscow.

Banned from Eurovision since 2022 in response to the invasion of Ukraine, Moscow has decided to revive a festival that originally took place in the 1960s and 1980s as a response from the socialist bloc to the European contest, as announced by the Kremling.

Under the slogan of promoting "authentic music" and "traditional values," the new competition was launched on Russia's National Day.

The Havana regime announced that Cuba will be represented by singer Zulema Iglesias Salazar, a renowned vocalist and instrumentalist from Santiago.
