An exclusive video shows the moment when Cuban reggaeton artist Yosvanis Sierra, known professionally as Chocolate MC, was arrested by Miami-Dade County agents at a hotel in Coral Gables on April 26.
The images, broadcast by Univision 23, reveal how the officers located the artist at the Aloft hotel after identifying his location thanks to a live transmission on social media, in which the singer himself was challenging the authorities.
The operation took place in the early hours of the morning, when the agents ascended to the sixth floor of the building, searching for the room where he was staying.
Initially, they knocked on the door of room 603, receiving no answer. Following that, the officers checked other rooms on the same floor, until they found Chocolate MC in a different one.
Upon opening the door, the artist was found shirtless, disoriented, and hiding behind it. He was trying to cover himself with a sheet when he was handcuffed by the officers.
During the intervention, the singer showed signs of being under the influence of some substance, while the officers inspected the room for evidence.
According to records from the Turner Guilford Knight (TGK) jail, the musician was admitted at 1:00 a.m. and faces several serious charges, including armed kidnapping, attempted robbery, and possession of illicit substances.
