An unstable weather scenario could bring heavy rains and storms this Wednesday in several regions of the country, due to the interaction of a tropical wave and a low-pressure system.
The warning was issued on Facebook by Cuban meteorologist Raydel Ruisánchez, who explained that the tropical wave is moving through the southern part of the country, while a low-pressure area in the upper levels of the atmosphere, located to the north, creates favorable conditions for storm formation.

The combination of these systems with the strong daytime heating and other local factors could lead to intense rainfall in the afternoon hours on Tuesday, especially in the eastern region, although more isolated precipitation was also expected in other areas of the country.
For this Wednesday, more frequent rain is anticipated in the central and western regions as the systems move westward.
The specialist warned that some of these rains could be locally severe, so he advised exercising caution in light of the development of evening storms.
In this regard, a waterspout was sighted on the morning of this Wednesday to the west of the Hicacos Peninsula, in the province of Matanzas.
According to a report on Facebook by the meteorologist Henry Delgado Manzor, the phenomenon was observed at 9:40 a.m. from the toll area on the Vía Blanca, right at the entrance of the tourist beach resort of Varadero.
According to the specialist, the funnel cloud showed little movement and lasted for approximately 10 minutes.
Delgado shared an image and a short video of the natural event, captured by enthusiast Eddy Hernández Rodríguez, to whom he publicly expressed his gratitude for the report.
Previously, it had been warned that June would be a rainy month for Cuba, which is good news for the population that has been severely affected by the drought.
Recently, Colorado State University (CSU) confirmed its forecast that the current hurricane season in the Atlantic will be more active than usual, with 17 named storms, 9 hurricanes, and 4 major hurricanes (categories 3, 4, or 5).
