Sandro Castro pulled another stunt on Instagram, this time while in a tank of water, holding a blender with beer in one hand and a television antenna in the other, topping off the scene with a United States flag draped over his back.

"What better pool than the ghetto's tank," he says in the video.

The eccentric grandson of Fidel Castro stated that his favorite dish is chicken in beer, but that "there is no chicken."

Although for the vast majority he is nothing more than a social media clown, it is true that Sandro Castro has begun to use his absurd videos to send awkward messages to the regime and the national disaster.

On this occasion, in addition to the grotesque performance of "Vampirach," he interacts with a woman whom he calls "the Little Cockroach Martina," and he drops another blunt remark aimed at the country's collapsing electric system.

"If I catch you, I'll hit you like the UNE does, every four hours and from Monday to Monday," he stated, referring to the scheduled blackouts by the Electric Union.

Although their videos tend to be ridiculous and incoherent, some Cubans are starting to read between the lines.

This is not the first time Sandro has voiced criticism of the regime. A few weeks ago, he liked a comment that mocked Díaz-Canel, who a user nicknamed "the Singao with a finger up his ass."

That simple gesture unleashed a wave of reactions that interpreted his "like" as an act of defiance—or, at the very least, a distancing—from the leader.

In another video, in a parodic tone, he blamed ETECSA for the rate hike for "not drinking the right beverage", and suggested getting it drunk "to see if it starts giving away data".

Beyond the caricatured tone, Sandro Castro has become a symptom of how sick the system is: while the country sinks into blackouts, scarcity, and hopelessness, Fidel's grandson plays at being a vampire on Instagram, simultaneously leaving cryptic messages that ironically connect him more with popular discontent than with the leadership that carries his surname.

His delusions are more critical than many "serious" speeches. And although many Cubans mock him, there are also those who claim that he already "has more of the people than Díaz-Canel."

The joke about "Sandro president" reveals how dark humor has become a form of escape and protest. It's not that they want him in power; they are simply fed up with those who already are.

The dictator's grandson continues to use absurdity as a disguise, but each of his foolish statements seems to carry a message: in Cuba, even madness makes more sense than the official narrative.
