A driver who fatally struck an elderly man on the highway, shortly after the Majagua bridge in the province of Ciego de Ávila, is being sought by authorities after fleeing the scene without providing assistance to the victim.
The report was made on social media by the user Yunior Tamayo Barrios, who shared a video on Facebook explaining that he previously knew the deceased elderly man.
He reported that a few weeks ago he had helped him return home after finding him disoriented on the road, but the man had escaped from his residence again and had been missing for three days. He was hit by a car last Thursday night.

"To all my followers, share this to find the responsible person. He killed him and left him like a rag, like a dog. That driver has to pay for what he did," said Yunior.
In the comments, some people claim that the victim was named Antonio (Tony) and that his body was dragged for up to 20 meters in the accident.
The authorities specified that the footprint left by the vehicle may belong to a Mercedes Benz. "Please share this in all groups. Whoever did this has no heart," Tamayo wrote in a post that has gone viral on Facebook.
The accident occurred shortly after the Majagua bridge, heading towards Ciego de Ávila, and so far the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) does not appear to have identified or apprehended the driver involved.
