The Cuban doctor Leandro Elías Rodríguez, 37 years old and originally from Guantánamo, lost his life this Thursday in a traffic accident in Quinindé, Esmeraldas province, Ecuador.
According to reports on social media, including one from the local site De Frente Quinindé, the health professional was riding a motorcycle when he collided with an unidentified vehicle.
Rescue personnel rushed him to a health center, where he was stabilized; however, a few minutes later, he suffered a collapse and passed away.
