What was supposed to be a leisurely journey ended in a chaotic scene aboard the cruise ship Carnival Sunshine, which set sail from Miami.

A massive brawl broke out in one of the ship's lounges, allegedly due to a dispute over fried chicken strips served at the buffet. The incident was captured on video and quickly went viral on social media.

The account @OnlyInDade shared shocking images showing about twenty passengers exchanging blows, as shoes, phones, and personal belongings flew through the air.

"Where the hell is the security?" shouted a horrified woman, while another passenger, who was recording the scene, turned to the camera to exclaim: "For fried chicken? This is crazy."

According to reports from the New York Post, the altercation occurred around 2:00 a.m. on the final night of the trip, as the cruise was returning to Miami from the Bahamas.

Media outlets like The Sun and Infobae agree that the trigger was a dispute in the buffet line, where apparently someone tried to take more portions than allowed.

The passenger Mike Terra, the author of the viral video, recounted that the conflict escalated quickly due to the lack of immediate intervention from the ship's security personnel. By the time the agents finally arrived, the situation had already spiraled out of control.

Despite the level of violence, no serious injuries or arrests were reported. The Carnival cruise line has not yet issued an official statement, although it has faced criticism for its handling of the incident.

On social media, the images have sparked a mix of outrage and mockery. Many users have ironically commented that "the real menu of the cruise included punches with a side of garnish."

The scene once again highlights the behavior of certain passengers on massive cruises and the need to reinforce onboard security protocols.

In Miami, where cruise departures are a common sight, such unusual incidents never cease to amaze... or to entertain.

Such incidents, although infrequent, are not unprecedented. In November 2024, footage of a fight aboard the luxurious Icon of the Seas from Royal Caribbean, which also departed from Miami, leaked.

In the images shared on social media, several passengers were seen violently arguing during the journey, raising concerns about safety and coexistence on board. The company did not provide any details regarding the incident.

In 2018, 23 members of a family were expelled from a Carnival cruise in Australia after multiple fights during the trip. On that occasion, the authorities acted decisively, and some of those involved ended up being detained.

Although cruises remain a popular vacation option, these events reopen the debate on the need to reinforce security protocols and ensure peaceful environments, especially in spaces where families, children, and adults with varying levels of tolerance coexist.
