Cuban entrepreneurs Rasiel Reyes, Ángel Sánchez, and Carlos Cruz are getting ready to inaugurate an exclusive Japanese restaurant in the city of Miami. Under the name Yamashiro Miami, the new establishment will open its doors on October 29, inspired by the iconic Japanese palace in Hollywood founded in 1914.
"Proud to present our new project", wrote Reyes on his Instagram account, where he shared details of this ambitious business dream that represents, in his words, "a legacy" born from sacrifice and perseverance.
Reyes recalled how, almost two decades ago, he arrived in the United States "with empty pockets but with great wealth in our minds", and how, through ups and downs, he found his calling in the world of entertainment and hospitality.
The restaurant aims to provide a luxury dining experience, a space where every detail is designed to leave a lasting impression on its visitors. The culinary proposal will be led by executive chef Gustavo Montes and the renowned chef Charbel Hayek, a partner in the project.
Featured dishes on the menu include Japanese fried chicken, katsu sando, lobster in miso beurre blanc, black garlic Chilean sea bass, and select cuts of Japanese and American wagyu, such as wagyu tomahawk with bone marrow teriyaki and house pickles.
According to Reyes, Yamashiro Miami represents “a blend of Japanese tradition and modernity”, and it promises to become a new culinary landmark in the city.
The space at Yamashiro Miami is a visual spectacle that combines contemporary Japanese architecture with the tropical luxury of Miami. Arched wooden ceilings, integrated gardens, warm lighting, and thoughtfully designed night illumination create a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere. Both the outdoor terrace and the indoor areas are crafted with fine materials, minimalist furniture, and lush greenery, generating an intimate and elegant ambiance that perfectly complements the culinary offerings.
In December of last year, Factoría de Azúcar was inaugurated, another restaurant that has created quite a buzz in Miami since its opening.
