Young man loses his life following a violent incident on the Cienfuegos waterfront

A young man identified as Raídel died this Wednesday in Cienfuegos from injuries sustained during a violent incident that occurred on the waterfront of the city, one of the busiest places in the area.

The information was shared on Facebook by the official page Las Cosas de Fernanda, which reported that the incident occurred in the early morning of Sunday, October 12, when the young man was found in critical condition with a deep wound to the neck.

Despite the efforts of the doctors at the Provincial Hospital, Raídel passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, confirming the case as a murder.

The incident has caused dismay among local residents, who describe the seawall as a typically serene space for social gatherings.

The regime's spokesperson emphasized that potential suspects have been detained while the investigation continues to determine the causes and motives behind the attack.

"This tragic event highlights the urgency of addressing the safety of our citizens and promoting peaceful alternatives for resolving differences," stated the cited page, which called for the condemnation of acts of violence and to ensure that "events of this magnitude do not go unpunished."

The message concluded with heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the young deceased.

Some versions circulating on social media suggest that Raídel may have been the victim of a violent assault, allegedly carried out by three individuals in the early hours of Sunday, who supposedly attacked him to steal his belongings, causing injuries to his neck and other wounds.

These unconfirmed reports also claim that the alleged attackers remained at large in the days following the incident.

In the comments section, dozens of users mourned Raídel's death and demanded justice.
