A night full of emotions was experienced by Eduardo Antonio, "El Divo de Placetas," during his most recent performance at El Rey del Lechón this weekend in Miami, when he could not hold back tears as he dedicated a song to his mother, Olguita, who recently passed away.
With a trembling voice and visibly moved, the Cuban artist performed “Why Do I Have to Forget You?”, a song by José Feliciano, in honor of the woman who was his greatest inspiration and support throughout his career.
“I will never forget you, mom”, he wrote alongside the video in which he appeared on the verge of tears, while the audience supported him with applause and expressions of affection.
Not even the rain that fell on the stage could prevent El Divo from pouring his soul into the music and his audience, in a performance that turned into a heartfelt tribute full of love and nostalgia.
Eduardo Antonio's mother passed away last week in Cuba due to dengue and the artist was unable to travel to the island to say goodbye to her.
