The US dollar fell this Friday in the Cuban informal market, trading at 470 Cuban pesos (CUP), ten less than the previous day, when it was sold at 480 CUP.

The decline, for the third consecutive day, breaks the upward trend that the US dollar had maintained in recent days, amid an economic crisis that continues to impact the purchasing power of Cubans.

For its part, the price of the euro also collapsed. This Friday, its value is 530 CUP, which means 10 pesos less than the previous day.

The European currency continues to be one of the most stable in the informal market, although its value remains beyond the reach of most state salaries on the island.
