A Cuban teacher has taken social media by storm after sharing an emotional video in which she invites her students to discover how romantic music was danced in Cuba.
The teacher, known among internet users for her charismatic style and unconventional way of teaching, has gained popularity on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook for incorporating urban music into her lessons.
Recently, a new release in the genre of reparto titled “Sal del aula” premiered, aiming to connect with students and motivate them to participate in school activities. However, this time the focus was not on reggaeton or trendy dance moves, but rather on a different kind of class, filled with nostalgia and a gentle rhythm.
In the video, the teacher asks her students to listen to and dance to romantic music, recalling that parties in Cuba used to be different.
"Among the most popular Cuban genres is the bolero, the romantic song. Unfortunately, nowadays, when you go to a party, all you hear is reggaeton and the dances are just jumping around, but there was a time when things were not like that," the teacher expressed.
As the young people laughed mischievously and tried to keep up with her, she told them how in Havana, celebrations took place in homes, where various musical styles blended together, from rock to the ballads of José José and Álvaro Torres.
"People took the opportunity to dance closely and flirt to those songs. 'Try dancing to romantic music,' he said, sparking a wave of nostalgic comments among users."
The video has garnered thousands of views, and many applaud its initiative to preserve the cultural and sentimental value of classic music for young Cubans.
