The Cuban singer La Diosa broke down in tears after appearing as a witness in the trial against the reggaeton artist Yosvanis Sierra Hernández (Chocolate MC), found guilty by a jury of seven people — four men and three women — for the charge of "writing or publishing direct threats" against Damián Valdez Galloso.

In a video released after leaving court, La Diosa expressed her deep frustration at not being able to provide her full testimony to the judge.

"I have an immense frustration. Today, I had to witness the trial of Yosvani, of Chocolate. I have known Yosvani for over 15 years, and I would do it a thousand times if I had to come more, but I am frustrated because they practically didn't let me speak," she said, visibly affected.

The artist stated that the musician, whose life has been marked by drugs since the age of 16, needs medical assistance and not extreme punishment.

"Yosvani is not a killer. He has lived with drugs, facing many crises. He is a sick man who should have received help first and foremost. We cannot expect a sick person to behave like a normal individual," he noted.

The singer regretted that the jury did not understand the personality of the reggaeton artist, known for his controversies and impulsive behavior on social media.

"Yosvani has always been a loudmouth, a clown online, but never a killer. Every time he made noise, it was to get attention, not to cause harm," he added.

Amidst tears, La Diosa pleaded for mercy for her colleague and even appealed to her religious beliefs.

"I ask Changó, Oshún, and my ancestors to help you, brother. May you overcome this and learn from your mistakes. I hope the judge is fair. I know you will face some punishment, but life imprisonment... that's too much," he said through sobs.

The case has sparked a strong reaction within the Cuban music community and among the artist's followers, who now face the prospect of a life sentence following the guilty verdict.
