The family of Iván Enrique Macía Mendoza, a 33-year-old resident of El Cobre, Santiago de Cuba, is experiencing profound anguish after several days without news of his whereabouts.

According to the information published on Facebook by independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, the case has raised alarm in the community due to the lack of progress in the search.

According to his aunt, Leyvis Mendoza Felizola, Iván left his home last Friday to engage in a supposed "business deal," as he told his mother before leaving.

Since then, he has not returned, and no one has been able to provide a clue to help locate him.

Family members have searched nearby areas, talked with friends, neighbors, and acquaintances, and knocked on doors in various places, but no one has provided any information about where they might be.

They also filed a report with the El Cobre Police, which is currently investigating the disappearance. However, so far, no information has been reported that would advance the search for the young man.

In the absence of answers, her aunt personally searched hospitals, emergency services, and even the morgue, but found no trace whatsoever.

The case has been shared in groups and on social media in the hope of receiving any leads.

In her message, the young man's aunt made an urgent plea: "Please help me find him. One of my treasures is missing. Any information, no matter how small, could save him."

For any information, the contact number +53 54077898 has been made available, in the name of Leyvis Mendoza Felizola.

The disappearance of Iván occurs within a troubling context for many Cuban families, who must undertake search and dissemination efforts themselves due to the fragility of state mechanisms designed to address these emergencies.

Although the police have the responsibility to act, many affected individuals agree in denouncing slow and inefficient processes, which forces them to turn to social media as their primary means to seek help and alert the public.

This type of case highlights the lack of an effective state system for the search for the missing.

As a result, family members turn to community support and request that any detail, no matter how small it may seem, be shared widely to increase the chances of locating the person in the critical early hours.

As the search continues, the community remains active on social media, trusting that civic solidarity may provide a lead to find the whereabouts of Iván Enrique Macía Mendoza.
