Sometimes the purest love doesn't need words. Just a scent, a familiar voice, and a hug filled with years accumulated. This was the reunion of Zudiana (@zudianacuba), a Cuban who saw her little dog again after three years apart, in a video that has touched thousands on TikTok.
In the images, the young woman kneels in tears as her puppy runs towards her, jumps on her, and showers her with kisses. The emotion is so overwhelming that she can’t even speak. “My girl remembers her mommy after three years,” wrote Zudiana alongside the video, which she shared of her return to the island.
The comments quickly filled the post. "How beautiful, they will never forget us," wrote one user. Another confessed through tears: "You made me cry, I can only think of the day my loved ones see me again." Many people living outside Cuba related to the scene and shared their own stories of separation from their pets.
Zudiana responded tenderly to several messages, explaining that she also feared her little dog wouldn’t remember her: “Mine hadn’t seen me in three years and look, just the smell and talking to her was enough. The hard part is leaving her again; that breaks your heart.” In another comment, she shared that she hopes to be able to take her with her next year: “If God allows it, I want to bring her, but my mom is very attached to her.”
The video has turned into a chain of shared memories and emotions. Many users shared that their dogs also recognized them after years, while others cried as they remembered those they had lost. “They are more loyal than humans,” wrote a follower, capturing what everyone felt while watching the scene.
