At dawn this Thursday, the U.S. dollar falls to 440 CUP per unit, which represents a decrease of five pesos.

In the case of the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), it drops to 290 CUP, which represents a decline of five units compared to the price it reached the day before.

The euro, for its part, remains stable, according to the report from the independent medium elTOQUE, which documents the price fluctuations of currencies in Cuba, published on December 11th.

In recent weeks, the Cuban government has intensified its campaign against the informal currency market and against the reference rate published by the independent outlet elTOQUE.

This offensive includes criminal investigations, threats against currency exchange operators, and a communication strategy aimed at discrediting alternative sources of pricing for the dollar, the euro, and other currencies.
