A Cuban resident in the United States has touched hearts on TikTok by sharing a video where she proudly and lovingly showcases everything she has done for her family in Cuba. Under the username @yaz.hdz69, the young woman posted a montage filled with images and phrases that tell a story of filial love, sacrifice, and gratitude towards her loved ones on the island.
In the video, accompanied by the song "Maldita distancia," you can see some of the gestures with which he has been helping his family: buying new furniture, refrigerators, gates for the doors, and blinds, as well as other details to improve their home and lives. All of this, with the goal of gradually fulfilling the wishes his mother shared with him: “My dear, I want to start making the gates for the house” or “Sweetheart, I want to buy a house and make it beautiful.”
At the end of the clip, Yaz wrote a phrase that summarizes the sentiment behind each shipment and sacrifice: “Even if they don't ask me for things, I know what needs to be done and what is needed. You all deserve everything and so much more that I didn't include. Plus everything that is yet to come.” A message that has touched the hearts of many Cuban emigrants who see themselves reflected in her words.
The comments quickly filled the video with love and blessings. “Fulfill God's commandment, and He will grant you a long life,” wrote one user. Another added, “That's right, everything should be given while you're alive.” “Good daughters are just like this, blessings,” commented one follower, while another said, “Your family must be very proud of you.”
Yaz herself responded with gratitude and simplicity: “Thank you, my dear. God bless all those who help your family.” Her warm and sincere tone reinforced the impact of the video, which has been widely shared among the Cuban community abroad.
Beyond the material value of what she sends, Yaz's message represents something much deeper: the love of a daughter who, from afar, does not forget her loved ones and continues to build her family's dreams with effort and heart.
