A young woman has gone viral on TikTok after humorously sharing an unpleasant experience she had during a trip to Cuba. According to a video posted on her account @marymora822, she returned from the island infested with lice.
In the clip, which has already garnered thousands of views, the young woman demonstrates the deworming process she had to undergo upon arriving home: she covers her hair with nylon and special products to eliminate the insects.
"I don't know whether to laugh or cry," he wrote in the video, accompanied by several clown emojis, conveying his frustration about the situation.
In another shared image, her freshly treated scalp can be seen along with the message: "I even put a nylon on my head," as part of the homemade treatment she used to get rid of the lice.
Although he did not specify where in Cuba he became infected, several users in the comments advised him to "not sleep in other people's homes" or to "check the places where he stayed." Others took the opportunity to joke about the hygiene conditions of some locations on the island.
The video generated hundreds of reactions among Cubans both inside and outside the country, many of them laughing at the incident and recalling similar experiences in schools or camps in Cuba.
