The Cuban comedian Mario Sardiñas, known for his popular character Chequera on the show "Vivir del Cuento," once again sparked laughter and reactions on social media after posting a video on Instagram in which he appears completely astonished upon discovering a set of abandoned furniture on a street in the United States.

"The Check has found a set of furniture thrown out on the street...!" Sardiñas wrote in the post accompanying the video, where his reaction is seen upon discovering a sofa and an armchair, both apparently in good condition, placed on the public roadway.

The scene, which may seem mundane to many residents in the United States, transforms into a moment of absolute fascination when viewed through the lens of Chequera's Cuban humor.

In the video, the character does not hide their disbelief and repeatedly exclaims: "I can't believe it, I can't believe it. Celebrity gossip, look at what’s been thrown here. Hey, what an amazing furniture set."

Amid laughter, he even lies down on the sofa and jokes about taking it to his "little room," insisting that if it doesn't fit, he's willing to sell the room.

"I sleep on the street with the furniture so I’m not afraid of the collapses," she expressed, referring to one of the recurring concerns of life in Havana, where building collapses are part of everyday life.

Staying true to his laid-back style, the character keeps cracking jokes while looking at the furniture. "Forget about the pests. I've been living with the santanilla and the showbiz for years, what harm is it going to do me?" he says, downplaying any potential health risks.

Then he finishes with another improvised phrase: "I like people who have nice gestures, but I prefer furniture on the street. That's it."

This moment adds to a series of recent appearances by Mario Sardiñas on social media from Dallas, Texas.

Although the actor has not officially confirmed his arrival in the United States, his activity on Instagram indicates that he is participating in promotions and collaborations with local businesses, which has sparked numerous welcome messages from his followers.

The actor's presence in the United States has also sparked nostalgia among fans of "Vivir del Cuento," who dream of a possible reunion with the rest of the cast now living outside of Cuba, such as Luis Silva (Pánfilo), Andy Vázquez (Facundo), Omar Franco (Ruperto), Irela Bravo (Cachita), and others.

For now, Chequera seems to be enjoying this new stage in the "yuma," observing the everyday with amazement, adapting to the rhythm of American life, and above all, maintaining his untouched criollo humor, the kind that turns a simple abandoned sofa into a memorable scene.
