A Cuban woman living in the United States decided to return to the island and share on social media the renovation of her home in her hometown, where she claims to feel fulfilled by reconnecting with her daughter and family.

In a video posted on TikTok, the woman—who identifies as @sailin751—shows the reconstruction and cleaning efforts of her home, alongside family members and neighbors who are helping her repair the damaged porch and part of the facade.

“Here I am remodeling my little house, and yes, I am very happy to have come to Cuba, to be with my daughter, with my family, extremely happy, and I know that I won’t regret this. To those people who are saying out there that I'm going to die of hunger, they're mistaken. When you are a fighter and entrepreneur, you succeed no matter where you are,” she expressed in the video.

The Cuban woman expressed her gratitude to God for having the opportunity to work in the United States and save money to invest in her home on the island.

"Thank you infinitely, Jehovah, for all the blessings you have given me and for the opportunity to prepare myself here in Cuba. I made the most of my time in the United States to work to the fullest. So blessings to all those who wish me harm; may God shower them with blessings. Amen," he added.

In the images, the woman is seen sweeping debris in front of her house, while other neighbors and family members are putting up a fence and cleaning up the remnants of concrete and bricks from the porch.

The testimony has generated numerous comments on TikTok, where some users commend her for her determination and family love, while others question her decision to return to live in Cuba amid the economic crisis and the deterioration of basic services.
