The Cuban creator @teylisfitglow, living in Miami, went viral on TikTok after responding with calmness and pride to a comment questioning her for living in a trailer in the United States. Her message, filled with realism and maturity, has received thousands of supportive reactions on social media.

“I live in a trailer because it's what I can afford right now. It doesn't make me any less; it makes me responsible,” she expressed in the video, where she showcased her small but cozy space. “Since I arrived in the United States, I've lived in Miami; I like it here. I don't see myself moving to another state just to pretend to have something that I'm still building,” she added.

Teylis explained that, although her house is modest, she feels proud of having adapted it through her efforts. “The space is small, yes, but it’s mine. I’ve arranged it my way, here I feel at peace,” she said. She also emphasized that independence is not measured by the size of one’s home, but by the ability to live within one’s means: “Independent doesn’t mean having a big house, it means working for something better without losing your peace.”

The video sparked a wave of positive reactions. “Peace is more important than comfort,” commented one user, while another added: “Live where you are happy.” Hundreds of Cubans in the United States shared similar experiences, emphasizing that having one's own roof, free from debt and pressure, is a huge achievement for those who emigrate.

Far from taking the comments as an offense, @teylisfitglow responded with empathy to those who supported her. “This is also a home, a roof where we can feel safe and live a life like everyone else,” she stated, reaffirming a message that resonated deeply with her followers: happiness does not depend on the size of the place you live in, but rather on the peace that exists within.
