The Cuban comedian Sergio Barrios, known on social media as El Explotao, brought laughter to his followers once again after having an unusual —and very "serious"— conversation with a wax figure of Donald Trump.
In a video shared on his social media, Barrios stands in front of the replica of the president in a wax figure museum and, in a solemn tone, says: “Listen to me here, Donald Trump, the esteemed Donald Trump. There’s oil in Cuba, too. I need you to go to Cuba, do you understand? There’s hidden oil in Cuba. Nobody knows it, but there’s oil.”
The comedian continues his peculiar speech by asking Trump to perform the same operation he did with Nicolás Maduro, who was recently detained by U.S. forces.
"I need you to go pick up Díaz-Canel and get the same footage you took of Maduro. But please, if you could do it earlier, because one might be asleep and miss those gems," he clarifies.
Amid exaggerated gestures, El Explotao concludes: "In Cuba, there is oil and... there isn't, but there has to be beneath the ground. So, I need you to carry out an extradition and extradite President Díaz-Canel. Can this be done? Thank you, most excellent Donald Trump."
The video quickly went viral among Cubans both on and off the island, who celebrated the comedian's cleverness in blending political satire, popular wit, and current international events.
With his characteristic Creole humor, Barrios captures the frustration of many Cubans who, on social media, are calling for U.S. intervention on the island, but above all, for Díaz-Canel to be removed just as they did with Maduro.
