The congressman Carlos Giménez was thrilled with the ultimatum issued by President Trump to the Cuban regime.
"President Trump is committed to the cause of freedom for #Cuba. First it was for Venezuela, and now he is going for the land that saw me born," he said on X
"I was expelled from Cuba when I was just a child. Miami welcomed us with open arms, and now I represent my community in Congress. This hemisphere must be the hemisphere of freedom. We will be eternally grateful to President Trump!" he added.

Earlier, Giménez celebrated the recent achievements of Cuban Americans in the U.S.
“Cuban Americans are taking control and we are proud!”, Giménez said on X.
Giménez listed some of these achievements, such as the success in University Football of "the University of Miami led by the best in the country: Cuban-American coach Mario Cristóbal."
Also, the Heisman Trophy was recently awarded to the star Cuban-American quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
"Secretary of State Marco Rubio dominates the global stage! President Trump supports our community more than any other president in the history of the United States!" the congressman added.
"We are relentless because our families instilled that in us! Failure is NOT an option! We move forward!" he concluded.
This Sunday, U.S. President Donald Trump re-shared on his social media a message from a user who fantasized about seeing Marco Rubio as “President of Cuba” following a potential collapse of the regime, adding the phrase: “Sounds good to me!”
That simple gesture, amid the escalation against Havana following Maduro's capture and the announcement that “there will be no more oil or money for Cuba,” sparked speculation on social media and in exile forums about a possible overseen transition from Washington in which Rubio would play a central role.
