In Miami, it's no longer surprising to see all sorts of things, but this video exceeded expectations. A man was recorded calmly walking his pink pig down Biscayne Boulevard, and the scene went viral on TikTok.
The video, posted by user @anthonyalmendro1, shows the animal walking on a leash alongside its owner, in the street, as if it were just another dog in the neighborhood. "In the middle of Biscayne Blvd, there is no farm within a 10-mile radius", the author humorously remarked, accompanying the images.
In the comments, Cubans quickly seized the moment with their usual wit. “Almost ready for the 31st,” wrote one, while another joked: “That one is walking my lunch.” But the comment that sparked the most laughter was this: “If it escapes and goes to a Cuban’s house, thank God for sending me a pig for the 31st”.
Other users, amidst laughter, shared that they have seen him on more than one occasion: “He treats him like family, I have seen him for years around 82nd and Biscayne,” commented one user. Some even recognized him as a sort of “famous mascot” of the neighborhood.
The clip has accumulated thousands of views and, as often happens with the most unusual moments in the city, it ended up becoming yet another meme in the repertoire of the Latino community. Because, as many say on social media, only in Miami do things like this happen.
