A Cuban resident in the United States shared with excitement the story of how, after nearly 25 years in the country, she was able to buy her first house, a dream she had postponed for decades.
"I have been in this country for almost 25 years, and my husband has always wanted to buy a house since I arrived, when they were very affordable. But I didn't want to, because I always let myself be filled with negative thoughts," the woman said in the video that has gone viral within the Cuban community.
The Cuban explained that eight months ago they managed to finalize the purchase of the property, and since then, they have been making adjustments little by little. In the images, she proudly showcases the remodeling process of her kitchen, one of the spaces she was most excited to transform.
"I always said that the day I had my little house, I wanted to have a bright kitchen, so it would look more spacious and cleaner. And well, that day has come," she expressed while showing the before and after of the renovation.
Although she acknowledged that the decor might seem "overdone" to some, she assured that she loves it just the way it is and asked her followers for their opinions and suggestions.
The testimony has moved many users who identify with its story of hard work and perseverance, reflecting the dreams shared by thousands of Cubans who emigrate to the United States in search of a better life.
