A young Cuban, identified on TikTok as @cubanita0101, shared an emotional video in which she shows her first experience in a supermarket outside of Cuba, specifically in Angola.

"My first time in a market outside of Cuba," wrote the content creator in the video description, which quickly went viral among Cubans on social media.

In the images, the young woman shares that she decided to document her journey through a small market near her home in Angola, accompanied by a friend. “Today, I want to tell you something that may be ordinary for many, but for me, it was quite an experience,” she commented.

During her account, she expressed amazement at the variety of products: fruits, vegetables, and meats on display, something she confessed she had never been able to enjoy in Cuba.

"Since I arrived, the first thing that captivated me was the colors, the fruits, the vegetables everywhere, the meats… you never imagine seeing so many things," she expressed enthusiastically.

She also praised the kindness of the Angolan vendors. "I was surprised by the warmth of the people, how they look at you, talk to you, and recommend what to take... although, I confess, I felt a bit overwhelmed because there were so many things I wanted to try from everything," she said with a laugh.

However, the most emotional moment came when the Cuban reflected on the hardships experienced in her country. “As I walked among the stalls, I thought: I wish all Cubans could enjoy this. Why do we have to struggle so much? Going to the market here is something normal; for us, it’s a ‘wow’ experience,” she said sincerely.

The video has generated numerous comments from fellow citizens who identified with his words and lamented that something as ordinary as buying food remains a luxury in Cuba.

"This was only my first time, and I know it won't be the last," concluded the young woman, visibly emotional.
