The interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, in a gesture of "courage," called on Sunday to end Washington's interference in Venezuelan politics and advocated for dialogue as a means to resolve internal conflicts, amidst a backdrop of tension and political transition following the fall of Nicolás Maduro's regime.

According to the agency EFE, Rodríguez spoke during an event with oil workers in the city of Puerto La Cruz, where she stated that “enough of Washington’s orders regarding politicians in Venezuela” and defended the need to “open spaces for democratic divergence” within the country.

"Let it be politics with a capital P and a V for Venezuela," declared the official, emphasizing that differences should be resolved at the national level, without external impositions.

Rodríguez's speech comes as his administration promotes a dialogue process with various political sectors, in a context where the United States, under the presidency of Donald Trump and with Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, plays a decisive role in the Venezuelan transition following Maduro's departure from power.

Rodríguez, one of the most prominent figures close to chavismo, is attempting to consolidate her leadership at a time when the country is facing both internal and international pressures, and she seeks to present herself as a spokesperson capable of ensuring stability while moving towards a new political order.

Although the latest message from the interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, emphasizes "sovereignty," the truth is that since the capture of the dictator Nicolás Maduro, it is the United States that has been pulling the strings in the Latin American nation.

Recently, an audio leak attributed to Rodríguez revealed alleged direct threats from the United States against high-ranking officials of the Government of Venezuela.

In the recording, initially disseminated by the journalistic collective La Hora de Venezuela and cited by international media, Rodríguez states that U.S. officials gave her, Diosdado Cabello, and Jorge Rodríguez 15 minutes to decide whether to cooperate with Washington or, otherwise, they would be killed.

"We were told that Maduro was not kidnapped, but rather dead," Rodríguez is heard saying in the audio, recorded during a private meeting with communicators and influencers aligned with the regime, just a week after the U.S. military operation.

In the same way, Delcy Rodríguez and her brother Jorge established secret contacts with officials from the United States and Qatar months before the military operation that culminated in the capture of dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

According to a report published by The Guardian, the brothers promised to cooperate with Donald Trump's administration once the Chavista leader was removed from power.

According to sources cited by the British newspaper, Delcy Rodríguez—then Vice President of Venezuela—and her brother Jorge, President of the National Assembly, assured U.S. and Qatari officials, through intermediaries, that they would view Maduro's departure positively.

Additionally, a few days ago, Rodríguez assured that he has “no fear” in addressing the differences with the United States and reiterated that his government is maintaining a dialogue process with the administration of President Donald Trump.
