The Cuban content creator Flor de Cuba has once again become a trending topic after releasing a video in which she addressed criticism regarding her recent message about success and mindset. Her quote — "Wherever you put me, I'm going to make money" — has sparked conversations online and ignited a heated debate between those who admire her determination and those who accuse her of arrogance.

Everything started with a post in which Flor wrote: “Have you realized that it’s not the government, it’s not the country, it’s me”. The message, accompanied by a photo in a private jet, was interpreted by many as a statement of personal power, although not everyone reacted the same way. Some congratulated her on her confidence, while others criticized her for “lack of humility.”

Far from keeping quiet, Flor decided to clarify everything in a video. "I moved to the United States, to a rural state, with no contacts or money, and I managed to rebuild my life. Today I earn what the top 1% of the American population earns," she explained. "Then they tell me that if I weren't here, I wouldn't have achieved this. But there are millions of Cubans in the United States, and not all have the same outcomes. It's not the country, it's the mentality."

Flor also reflected on what it means to have self-esteem in a world that often confuses confidence with arrogance. “People confuse humility with poverty or low self-esteem. Knowing who you are and what you're good at doesn’t make you haughty; it makes you self-aware,” she said.

Despite the controversy, most comments were supportive. "Successful people are admired, not envied," wrote one follower. Another added, "Thank you for inspiring so many Cuban women who continue to strive for self-improvement."

With her direct style and unfiltered speech, Flor de Cuba once again divided opinions, but also made it clear that her success does not depend on luck or where she lives, but rather on her way of thinking and working.
