The influencer Flor de Cuba reopened her heart on social media with a video in which she shared a mix of emotions: the satisfaction of having helped her mother in Cuba, and at the same time, the sadness that has accompanied her during this holiday season.
“I would like to tell you that I am motivated, that these dates are festive and that I feel wonderful, but the truth is, I don't. These have not been happy days for me,” confessed Flor, visibly affected. She explained that she misses her family and her children, and that Christmas, rather than bringing joy, has awakened a deep sense of nostalgia within her.
Even so, she wanted to find comfort in the everyday. "To try to distract myself and forget about the negative emotions, I started cooking. I hadn't done it in days, and I missed my home routines," she said. In the video, she is seen tidying up her house, preparing food, and picking up small activities that, according to her, help to calm her mind.
“A trick for when you're feeling mental stress: tidy up at home. It will bring you the peace that you don't have in your mind. If there's chaos outside, there will be chaos inside as well,” she reflected. The content creator also took the opportunity to generate new material and connect with her audience, although she acknowledged that she has been “a bit lost.”
Among the gestures that brought him the most joy was buying new furniture and items for his mother’s little house in Cuba, something he described as an act of love and gratitude. “I don’t mind spending money on that, because it’s for my mother’s future and old age,” he affirmed.
Flor also shared that the next day she attended her therapy session, accompanied by her partner, Alex, who drove her since she doesn’t know how to drive. “I’ve been a bit disconnected, which is why I’m making this video to keep you all in the loop,” she concluded, making it clear that even on tough days, she continues to value honesty and to share her journey with those who have been following her for years.
Despite everything, this year-end has brought many changes for Flor. Just a few weeks ago, she moved from Kentucky to Miami, a phase that began with a harsh blow: she had to undergo emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy, an experience that, as she confessed, left a deep mark on her. Nevertheless, she has managed to rise up strongly and end the year on a high note, establishing herself as one of the most successful Cuban sellers on TikTok Shop, where her live streams generate thousands of sales and have made her one of the platform's most beloved creators.
