A family of manatees surprised residents and visitors in the Brickell area of Miami by swimming serenely through the canal that lines the modern buildings of the district.
The video, shared by the content creator and real estate agent in Miami, Sebastián Acosta, shows several manatees —including calves— moving in a line through the crystal-clear waters in front of the Icon Brickell Bay1007 complex.
The images, accompanied by the song “Ordinary” by Alex Warren featuring Luke Combs, quickly went viral, amassing over 15,000 likes and comments that highlight the beauty and serenity of the moment.
The Florida manatee (Trichechus manatus latirostris) is a protected species that inhabits the warm waters of the state. Its presence near urban areas such as Brickell reflects efforts to conserve its natural habitat and keep Miami's waterways clean.
