The Cuban influencer Kendry Porbén (@kendryporben) surprised his followers once again by sharing a new video in which he explores what he described as “the cheapest gym in Cuba”.

The location, situated in the neighborhood of Mañana, in the Havana municipality of Guanabacoa, charges a monthly fee of just 400 Cuban pesos, a price that today seems almost symbolic amid the inflation and economic crisis affecting the island.

In the video, Porbén showcases the gym facilities, which, despite their simplicity, stand out for the creativity and ingenuity of their owner. “It has machines I've never seen in my life,” the young man confessed while trying out some of the equipment in the establishment.

The most curious thing about the place is that a large part of the machines were handcrafted by the owner and instructor himself, who, with effort and recycled materials, has managed to create a functional space where dozens of young people from the neighborhood train.

The gym, located outdoors under a zinc roof, features press machines, benches, bars, and handmade weights, many of which are assembled from recovered metal parts.

The video has garnered admiration among users, who highlight the creativity of Cubans in staying active and finding alternatives amid scarcity. “Definitely, the best gym in Havana,” commented a follower.

Kendry Porbén has become well-known on platforms like Instagram and TikTok for visiting various gyms in the Cuban capital, showcasing the diversity, conditions, and efforts of local trainers and athletes.

Its content combines humor, social critique, and the promotion of physical exercise as a means of resilience in the face of daily challenges in Cuba.
