Content creator Maray, known on social media as @mara_dana23, shared a heartbreaking message about how the Cuban population is preparing to face the collapse of services in the country due to the oil deficit.

His video has gone viral, amidst an energy crisis that exacerbates power outages, scarcity, and the precariousness of daily life in Cuba.

The young mother shows how she feeds her daughter. She is seen cooking with charcoal and then cleaning the patio after a storm.

It explains that the country is preparing for an even more critical phase. "As if we haven't already spent years in collapse, scarcity, misery, and hunger," it states, referring to the structural crisis affecting millions of Cubans.

Maray describes a social climate marked by fear and uncertainty, questioning whether the situation could worsen with the prospect of months without electricity—an outcome that would have direct consequences for households, basic services, and family economies.

“Right now, we are consumed by fear, dread, and terror,” he states, acknowledging that he recorded this material “with a heavy heart, thinking about what the future holds for Cubans.”

However, he closed the video with an encouraging, almost mystical message. After the storm, a rainbow shines brightly in the Cuban sky.
