The fuel crisis continues to impact interprovince transportation in Cuba. In Camagüey, authorities confirmed that only one bus trip to Havana is operating daily, while the rest of the trips have been temporarily suspended.

According to Televisión Camagüey in a post published on social media, the current fuel shortages have necessitated urgent adjustments to the schedule for National Bus departures across the country.

The director of the National Bus Company in the province, Yosvani Aguilar Morales, explained that the complex energy situation compelled them to immediately reschedule the current travel itinerary.

The only service that remains

According to official information, the only connection that will continue to operate is the express service between Camagüey and Havana

Departure: 8:00 p.m.

Return: 10:00 a.m. the next day

Frequency: daily

This service will, for the time being, be the only option available for travelers needing to transfer from Camagüey to the capital.

Suspension of other interprovincial transfers

The statement confirms that all other trips to Havana and other interprovincial destinations are temporarily suspended until conditions allow.

"Adjustments have had to be made to the departure schedule due to the current fuel shortages," the notice states.

Authorities announced that the Viajeros Agency will provide information in the coming hours about new adjustments, which will also affect the railway system, another key means of interprovincial transportation.

An increasingly paralyzed country

The reduction of interprovincial transportation adds to the halt of urban transport in Havana, prolonged power outages, and the widespread fuel shortages, creating a scenario of immobility that directly impacts thousands of Cubans.

While the Government insists on temporary measures and "contingency plans," the population is facing increasing difficulties in traveling, working, or accessing basic services, amid a crisis that shows no signs of resolution in the short term.
