The network of Casas de Cambio (CADECA) announced a adjustment to its service hours for the public in Havana, a measure that will take effect starting Tuesday, February 10, 2026, as reported by the entity in an official notice.
According to the communication, the CADECA branches in the capital will operate during the following hours:
Monday to Friday: from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Saturdays: from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The entity specified that the Alamar Exchange House will maintain its usual hours because it has energy backup, allowing it to continue operating without any changes.
CADECA also clarified that the branches located in hotels and airports will maintain their normal operating hours.
This schedule adjustment comes amid the complex energy situation facing the country, characterized by prolonged blackouts, a deficit in electricity generation, and fuel shortages.
In recent weeks, multiple state entities have reduced or reorganized their services as part of the contingency measures adopted in response to the deterioration of the National Electric System.
Changes will be extended to the rest of the country
In the statement, the company indicated that this adjustment currently applies only to Havana, while the new schedules for the other provinces will be published gradually.
"For the rest of the provinces, the new schedules will be published gradually," the entity indicated.
CADECA urged customers to stay tuned to its official channels for future updates and reminded that for any questions they can contact through the email clientes@cadeca.cu or the phone number 7 883 22 49.
The change in CADECA's hours in Havana reflects how the crisis impacts even basic financial services, forcing a limitation on in-person operations to adapt to energy availability.
While some branches, like the one in Alamar, can continue operating thanks to electrical support, the rest of the offices are affected by the context of instability that impacts the daily lives of Cubans.
