The United States has begun the air transport of a next-generation nuclear reactor as part of President Donald Trump’s executive order aimed at strengthening the country’s energy dominance in the nuclear sector.

The announcement was made by the Department of Defense through its official account on the social media platform X, where it informed that the operation is part of the implementation of the executive order on nuclear energy signed by Trump.

In a subsequent message, the official account of the Department of Defense's rapid response confirmed that this entity partnered with the Department of Energy to strengthen the nuclear leadership of the United States, calling the operation “historic.”

According to official publications, the next-generation reactor will be transported by air, representing a high-level logistical operation and a strategic commitment to advanced nuclear technologies.

The initiative is part of the current administration's policy to strengthen energy security and consolidate the United States' position as a power in nuclear innovation, both in the civil and strategic realms.

The airlift of a reactor with these characteristics underscores the priority given to the development and deployment of advanced energy infrastructures in the context of global technological competition and the redefinition of energy supply chains.
