The fuel shortage in Cuba continues to reveal scenes that highlight the depth of the crisis. In the Guantanamo municipality of Imías, the flour intended for the production of regulated bread is being transported by mules, while cooking is done with firewood due to the lack of diesel.

According to reports from Periódico Venceremos and the local telecenter Solvisión, efforts have been "intensified" in that area to ensure the availability of bread in the basic food basket, which is considered an essential food for the population.

Local authorities indicated that, due to difficulties with fuel, alternatives have been implemented such as transporting bags of flour using pack animals and using wood-fed ovens.

Workers in the food sector, transporters, and municipal officials are coordinating actions to maintain daily production and prevent interruptions in the distribution of regulated bread.

Although the official press presents these measures as a demonstration of "creativity" and "commitment," the images circulated reflect the direct impact of the energy and transport crisis affecting the country, forcing a return to methods from past eras to sustain basic services.

The event occurs amid increasing pressures from the United States, which asserts that the Cuban regime continues to refuse to negotiate structural changes despite the crisis the population has been facing for decades.

In the midst of a scenario of sanctions, financial restrictions, and increasing international isolation, Cuban authorities insist on maintaining the current model, even as the population faces prolonged blackouts, food shortages, and inflation that suffocates purchasing power in Cuban pesos (CUP).

The lack of deep reforms and political openness prolongs a crisis that directly impacts citizens, while the official discourse avoids taking internal responsibility.
