The military theater of the Cuban regime amid tensions with the Trump Administration continues to produce memes.

The latest image in that collection of the ridiculous is that of pairs of oxen transporting metal blocks for blocking roads.

The incredible image was provided by the municipality of Taguasco in Sancti Spiritus, which hosted the main maneuvers of National Defense Day this Saturday, involving the activation of command structures and the development of tactical exercises with weapons and explosives, reported a report from Canal Caribe.

Mockery on social media

This is not the first time that ridiculous images of the regime's military maneuvers have come to light.

Recently, social media was filled with ironic comments following the release of images and videos from the so-called "Combat Preparation Competition" organized by the Western Army as part of National Defense Day.

The scenes, shared by the official Castro accounts themselves, showed young people training to use obsolete weaponry, participating in military exercises that many users deemed more of a spectacle than genuine military preparation.

In other images young people can be seen with old rifles, without any protective gear, conducting drills under a scorching sun and in minimal material conditions.

Several internet users pointed out that the alleged "doctrine of the war of the whole people" has become a form of internal propaganda, disconnected from contemporary military reality.

The Cuban regime has promoted the "people's war" for decades as a defensive strategy based on massive civil mobilization in response to a supposed foreign invasion.

However, in a country mired in poverty, with blackouts, hunger, and increasing military desertion, weekend exercises seem more like a set piece from the past than a realistic maneuver.

While the government seeks to showcase cohesion between the people and the Armed Forces, the images from the propaganda evoke the opposite effect: a blend of compassion, indignation, and laughter in response to the evidence of a country collapsing, yet still marching to the beat of empty slogans.
