Agent Pando, currently assigned to the South District Road Patrol in the United States, revealed that before starting his career in law enforcement, he was a dolphin trainer in Cuba for six years.

In a question and answer session shared on the social media of Miami Dade Sheriff’s Office, the officer explained that he worked as a dolphin trainer on the island before emigrating and starting a new professional chapter in the United States.

Pando también compartió aspectos personales, como su gusto por viajar con su familia y su afición por la natación.

Among her goals for 2026, she mentioned that she is training to complete a triathlon, one of her main sports objectives for this year.

The case of Pando is not the only one. Others like him, after fleeing the Cuban regime, have managed to achieve their dreams in the United States.

The Cuban lieutenant Gustavo Almeyda has dedicated his life to public service in the United States and is currently part of the Miami Beach Fire Department.

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Miami Beach Fire Department highlighted the story of Lieutenant Gustavo Almeyda on Instagram this Thursday. Born and raised in Cuba, he arrived in the United States in 2001.
