At the end of the Noticiero Estelar this Friday, Televisión Cubana will broadcast a special edition of the program Razones de Cuba to provide further details about the shooting of a speedboat registered in Florida off the Cuban coast.
The indicates that the program will be aired on Cubavisión, Cubavisión Internacional, and Canal Caribe, as well as on the stations Radio Rebelde and Radio Habana Cuba.
During the program, the chief of staff of the Border Guard Troops Directorate, the head of the Medical Services of the Ministry of the Interior, the deputy head of the specialized agency for Crimes Against State Security, and the chief prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic will appear.
In other words, the regime has decided to “bring out” the top brass of its repressive organs to explain an event that, according to some, has been addressed very calmly by both governments.
According to the official announcement, the aim is to broaden the information available to national and international public opinion regarding the attempted infiltration into national territory by the vessel.
The Cuban regime revealed on Thursday the identities of the ten individuals who, according to their version, were involved in an alleged armed infiltration attempt from U.S. territory to the island, on a vessel registered in the state of Florida.
In statements published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex), Deputy Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío specified that those involved are Cristian Ernesto Acosta Guevara, Conrado Galindo Serrior, José Manuel Rodríguez Castelló, Leordán Cruz Gómez, Amijail Sánchez González, and Roberto Álvarez Ávila.
The list is completed by Pavel Alling Peña, Michael Ortega Casanova, Ledián Padrón Guevara, and Héctor Duani Cruz Correa, the last four of whom passed away in the confrontation.
